i have this burner lg gsa 4120b.

i can open discs with shrink and play them, but now when i put in blank discs, it just asks me to insert a disk in that drive. i've tried it multiple times, and it won't work. i'm using ritek dvds. before it was working, but now it won't anymore. i have the latest firmware - what's the deal?

are these a new batch of discs that you are using? Did you recently install any hardware or software on this computer? Have you tried some other discs?

yeah, they are new riteks i got off the internet the other day. i finally got them to be noticed, but now they will not burn correctly. i get an error after a few minutes. the error is just a bunch of letters and numbers, but i'll try to get an example up!

I did some research, and it looks like slowing down your burn speed might solve this problem. Someone also had this error when their burner got too hot.
