I cannot copy Spanglish. It will not read it. A read error comes up. I have been reading some forum. Before I try to return my copy, I would like to see if I have the latest, up to datest on my program I run. I have X copy Platinum 4.0.3.8. If I do not, could you direct me to an upgrade? Thank you

I would clean your disk and disk drive before you bring it back.
Check my guides also, they might help you out:

Perhaps you haven't heard but DVD XCopy hasn't been made for over 1 and 1/2 years. It hasn't had an update for closer to 2 years. I'm sorry for the new people who have just purchased XCopy at the original $149.00 (USD) cost only to find out it was made by a company no longer in business and with no factory support, because of course, there is no factory. I assume you have just found out about your mistake. Sometimes research can save you from a bad experience BUT as how it's a little late for that now, you might try to ask for your money back. The ripper in XCopy was quite good 2 years ago but there have been some upgrades in the encryptions used since then and XCopy is useless against these. To also give you a "heads up", XCopy cannot handle dual-layered discs. When XCopy went out of business, there were not any DL discs.

As it is, you have 2 options:

Option 1.

You can spend more money ($39.99), and purchase AnyDVD which will patch your program and help you get it through the problems of today. Bear in mind that you can only keep an old horse going for so long.

OR

Option 2.

You might wish to check the guides in my sig for alternatives. Shrink/Decrypter will rip any programs out there today and their cost is $0.00 for them both, quite a savings in $$.$$.

Best of Luck,

Pete
