My wife bought 'Are we there yet' today and wants to make a backup, but I'm having some troubles. I downloaded dvd43, but that doesn't seem to help.
Any ideas?

Is it the latest updated version? Did you waited until it showed a "happy smiley green face" in prior to back up? Did you played the movie at least 35sec - 1 or 2mins? What burning program are you using? If it is Nero and DVD Decrypter, then may be you might want to post the error log. This will help others to help you better in return. I've used both DVD43 and DVD Decrypter, and I have been backing up movies flawlessly.

Yea, I played the movie for 1 minute+, until DVD43 showed a green smiley, and it's still giving me the same error. I know it's the copyright.

I am having same trouble here regarding Are we there yet,
I first used DVD Express and got the lock up @ 4 seconds
So I went to Shrink (just recently upgraded last week)and it jammed at analazing at the 27% and just sat there. I had loaded the ANY DVD 5.2 (Beta version I think) and it locked all my crap up! had to do a restore from backup point to get my system back.

AnyDVD 5121 running background..........DVDShrink-ReAuthor(Movie Only)
DVDDecypter to burn.......perfect backup copy
this movie had about 93 files on it (actual movie about 7 files)
plus all kinds of the latest protection, AnyDVD ripped it all of...and showed a long list of it..more than usual i think
myself, i don't care about any of the extras..ect
i think people would have a lot less problems with backups
if they didn't want to keep everything, just my way...
good day.....
free.......

Hello all this is my first post and I am happy to try and help. I had the same problem with DVD Shrink and Are We There Yet. Shrink would lock up at 27% analysis running DVD43 on the fly. I even reinstalled the latest version of DVD43 with no luck. What I had to do was rip the entire DVD with DVD Decrypter in File Mode to the hard drive. I was then able open the decrypted files with Shrink and re-author, and then burn with DVD Decrypter. No problems this way just took an extra 5-10 minutes on my system.

when i used dvdshrink to burn with DVD Decrypter it just created the iso. most of the time it works I dont know what happen. should it still be in the re author screen....i suspect so cuz all i can do is hit the fulldisk and backup buttons. when I burn the iso with Nero it plays really fast and had a black screen

If You Use AnyDVD.....you shouldn't have to rip to HD first...
then shrink it to movie only...then Decypter or other programs
to burn...............
just my way because i only keep the movie files.
AnyDvD is worth every penny of the $39.00 it cost's
good day.......
free.........

FYI
I know some folks don't like 1Click DvD copy but it ripped, shrank, and burned "Are we there Yet" with virtually no trouble. Seemed to freeze up but I left it alone and it skipped bad sectors and works great!

Thank you all for the great suggestions as always. I was having alot of problems with this movie as well and read on the forum to use DVD Decrypter and then Shrink. Worked like a dream. Only problem was that I ended up having to copy the whole movie including previews. I had burned a copy in "re-author" mode and got a black screen at first. When I tried to skip to the first chapter it would skip ahead to the second chapter and I would have to "rewind" to the beginning of the movie. That was fine for me but would been a hassle for anyone else who tried to watch it. I ended up going back and burning the whole movie and it works fine. I said all of that to say that I am thankful for this site and the wealth of knowledge that is provided by all of the members. Keep up the good work guys (and ladies ;0P!!!)
