I recently got a new v220 as a couples plan with my gf (besides the point) anyways, whenever someone calls that's in my phonebook i get an unknown caller. You probably have to signup for caller id from your provider...but my problem is i can't get ringer id or picture id to work either. I know you have to setup the number onto your phone and not your sim to get those options. Also, when i look at my telephone number in my cellphone it shows a 1-905-xxx-xxxx....should i get rid of that 1.??? Any help would be appreciated...it's driving me nuts.

You shouldn't have to sign up for caller ID. Cell phone services usually come with it. You don't need the "1" in front of the numbers. Sorry can't help with the rest of your issues. Maybe you could call your carrier to find out about the caller ID and why it would be doing that.

If I recall you have an option you may need to set to on for caller Identifacation to work. I also had to add 1 and the erea code to the numbers in in my phonebook for them to list in on my id by name.

man this is starting to get frustrating.....i'm gathering that i have to sign up for caller id, i'm with rogers, that's fine...i can accept that. But i can't get my picture id or my ringer id to work...they are just whatever my default ringer tone is for that specific volume setting. I have my caller id setting to "show id", i've saved my numbers to my phone so i can have the ringer id and picture id option, selected both on, one on and one off, every possible combination. 1 in front of number in phone, 1 without number in phone. If i'm not gonna be subscribed to caller id, i'd like to at least get one of these other options working, preferably the picture id.

have you done any modding to your phone? if not, it sounds like it is a bad phone or s service provider error.

All i have done is taken off most of the pictures, added a couple of my own, added some sounds, haven't touch any of the locked sounds, and taken off the games. That's it.
