TMPG will give you great quality. But if you just want ease of use i really recommend you try AVI2DVD http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/avi2... It's a great program that includes the best freeware encoders in it. And it's very easy to use. If you want speed and extreme ease of use try DivXtoDVD http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/v... There are other programs you can use but those are just 2 free programs that come to mind right off hand.

I use nerovision express, and sometimes with certian AVI files, the picture comes out perfect but the Audio is just so LOW, i have to crank up my volume all the way, and then its still to low to listen to comfortably, is there any reason NeroVision does this? Can it not encode certian audio types?

People say dont use it because the quality from it is not great.

You can find tons of other methods for AVI to DVD but simplicity really depends.

You got seperate audio because when authoring a DVD wth TMPGEnc DVD Author or DVD Lab for example, is best to load a seperate video and audio stream.

TMPGEnc Plus can produce some prettyn good quality.

Here is a list of guide that can help you..

DVD2SVCD is a frontend for many programs so it'll do it all in a few steps for you.

Quality varies, you can use 3 or 4 different encoders, including CCE SP, an expensive but excellent quality solution.
