Ive been backing up my dvd's for about two years. Ive mostly used Nero ReEncode and Dvd Shrink but ive started wondering about doing more...

If the movie quality is important (ie..Lord of the Rings or Star Wars) i just backup the main movie as to lower the amount of compression used. If not (ie..Shattered Glass or independent movies and such) i just try to make the movie the least compressed and compress the extras, remove extra languages as much as possible.

However, doing this, the movie still end up being 60-70 % of origional size.

I guess what im asking for is a program that will allow me to select exactly which extras i want to keep while still keeping the origional menus and such. Just sort of not allow the user to select those which have been removed. I know you can do this with ifoedit but im looking for a program with the ease of use like Dvd Shrink and ReEncode.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for your time!

I use CloneDVD2 to edit. I can split the movie and keep menus on both disks or edit out what I want. Don't know if this is what you are looking for but it is an easy to use program and used with AnyDVD you do not have a need for Shrink. I will use AnyDVD with Nero Recode because I like Recode for just doing the main movie and it is faster and better than Shrink. But this is just all my opinion :~)

You stated you wanted a programs with the ease of Shrink and Recode. CloneDVD2 is in this category, if you do not want the extras just uncheck them and you can still preserve your menus. Otherwise you will have to create your own menu to get what you want.

CloneDVD will probably be the easiest program to do what you asked for. Everything else requires some extra work or is a little more difficult to understand.
