hi has any 1 made a successfull copy of gta san andreas that doesnt skip and takes years to load on verbatm dvd-r 8x (mcc) as some 1 said that apparently that is 1 of the few games that the verbatim discs have trouble burning is this true if not does it need to be mucked about with to get it to work eg rebuilding etc

i burnt it as a straight backup

but not onto a verbatm disc

yea i have also burnt it b4 on a shitty datawrite dvd-r and its 100% working but i just wanted know if the game doesnt work with verbatims or if im doin someting wrong so i need to find someone who has also had trouble when burning the game to a verbatim

I backed up my gta: san andreas on verbatim 4x dvd-r: digital movie (disc looks like a film roll or whatever they call it). It works just fine, I burned at 4x using dvd decryp. and a plextor burner, no problems while playing.

Here's the media code: MCC 01RG20, I have no problems with gameplay or nothing.

do u think burning at 2x might be the problem as u are burning at 4x (plus mine are 8x) but this shouldnt make a difference i might try it again but i just dont wanna waste any more verbatims

try burning at 4x if ya have a NU burner ya can set it to dvd-rom booktype

my burner is a lite-on dvdrw ldw 451S i upgraded to latest firmware recently

i used maxell dvd-r and got it to work. people here say to use good media, and i used crap media for the rest of my games without any problems. this was the first game i used good media.
