I know how to create a KVCD using TMPEG, but i want to know if there is any other program or something that i can use, because it is so slow, and there are too many processes involved, if you know a faster method or of software more faster and better, please post...

Phantom can you give me a few tips on dvd to kvcd...
I.E software you use & for best results.....
Anything will be a bonus...
Been trying for agees I must be doing something wrong along
the lines

I've used windvd creator 2, Sonic MyDvd. I think Nero will do this as well but I've never tried that one. Im sure you can get the trial version to any of these or just use Bit torrent.

Oh yea I did VCD,SVCD and DVD. Never heard of Kvcd.

i would be happy to help and share the information...

to get an overview of what KVCD is visit the link below...

as you can see, KVCD is a modification of the standard VCD resulting with better quality result and smaller files-size (think of it as DivX and DVD)

I dont think that the site with the overview has a freely available download for the templates, so visit here:

For Your information, Nero cannot perform this you will need your source movie (DivX etc.. that is compatible with TMPGEnc) and of course the free or shareware version of TMPGEnc encoder...

with the output file, select Nero VCD capability, import the movie and enable overburning if neccessary (highly unlikely)...

for an idea, i backed up a 1 and a half hour movie to single cd with close to SVCD quality...

i hope you all succeed in this as i have and make sure to have the requirements and read all the information available.

PS: as with everything this process of creation takes time...
