Hello, I have swap magic 3.3 and ps two SCPH-70004. I installed magic switch properly. The swap magic dvd loads ok. When I insert a backup copy of dvd game it says "not a valid ps2 disc". The backup copy spins at low speed and there is some wierd sound. Then it stops.

The ps two reads original games ok. It also reads movies on dvd +/- r/rw. It reads original games after swap magic dvd is loaded.

The games were copied by using DVD Decrypter at low speed on Traxdata DVD-R 4x medias. The backup copies works on modchip-ed console.

I've check and read relative threads on first 40 pages on this forum and searched via google but I did not find a one thing.

It seems that it may be a media quality problem. Will it work If I copy a backup copy? I mean... I'll save a image from backup copy and then burn it to quality media (e.g. Verbatim DL+ DVD-+R).

ive read something on this forum very similar to your problem

they had a backup that jumped and flickered, but backed it up on different media and it worked fine

its not the image on the disc the ps2 has a problem with, its just being able to read it through the laser because of media problems

but if you put it in a dvd drive in your pc it should be fine

OK, thank you for reply. I hope it will help. I can't check it right now. I've ordered SM 3.6 but they send me 3.3 instead. I had to send the 3.3 back. I am waiting for the 3.6 one.

I just tested to copy a copy, from DVD-R Traxdata 4x to DVD+R Verbatim 8x DL+ (burned by DVD Decrypter at 4x). It works ok.
