what programs did you use to do this?
were you multitasking while this was burning?
is this a download or from an original disc?

well, you really shouldn't multitask while your computer is burning, ripping, or encoding. It increases the probability that you will have problems.

Chances are, the file that you downloaded was made like that. It happens, I've seen it.

well the file was fine when i downloaded it, but i always have my windows media player going, so it was going while it was encoding from AVI to mpeg and while i was burning. Ill do both again without doing anyhting else and let you know how it goes

if that doesn't work try other proggys. Divx2dvd is pretty good, TMPGEnc is good too.

john your problem has nothing to do with burning.

it has to do with the fact that you are using a downloaded AVI and attempting to convert it to mpeg. for most applications at high resolutons with long lengthds of video you are going to get a synch problem unless you have a very high speed pc.

yes.but it wont play on a standalone dvd player
you can use a ps2 to boot them, but you will need the dvix player boot disk to go with it
