sytyguy,
Not all brands of dvdrw's are capable of doing this. Both my litey and benq are. What make and model of dvdrw do you have?

sytyguy,
Cool thats an easy one to set booktype on dvd+r media to dvd-rom. You need to download the free lite-on booktype utility available here. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=83441 I think the instructions for use comes packed with the proggy. It might be a .rar file (I can't remember) in which case you willl need something like WinRAR or I use 7-zip. Once it is set to booktype dvd+r media to dvd-rom it will booktype all dvd+r to dvd-rom unless changed back. If you have any problems or questions feel free to ask me.

Mort,
Wow, sure wish I had known about this sometime ago, I wouldn't have had to waste the money on several additional STB dvd players.
I had burnt several DVD's yesterday (all +R), and had left the output from Shrink on my harddisk, so it was easy to re-burn it, but prior to burning I booktyped it to dvd-rom, and viola.
Hmmm, now I'm thinking of re-burning my entire collection to ROM, oh grieve, maybe not.....gonna have to think on that.
Anyway, I cannot thank you enough, Mort
Rich

sytyguy,
Once again you're very welcome. I wish everybodys problems here were as easy to solve as yours and that others were as easy to please and polite as you. Good luck and happy burning.

Mort81,
You must have me confused with yourself....you're the one that is polite, taking on some of our questions, that I am sure are very repetitive, and answering them as if they were asked for the very first time, and without any type of annoyance from you....speaks volumes on politeness
But, this booktype program that you referred me to, I gotta tell you, it is a godsend.
Thank you so much,
Rich
P.S. I downloaded OmniPatcher, and attempting to learn more about it.
Have you tried it, and if so, any comments?

sytyguy,
I used omnipatcher when I had a LDW-451S crossflashed to SOHW-832S f/w but don't use it with my SOHW-1633@SOHW1653. It has some nice features. Give it a whirl. I primarily use my benq for burning and my litey for ripping and scanning anymore. Also if you don't already have it be sure to download kprobe to scan your burns.

orrmate,
I've gone to cdcovers several times and have never found the cover I needed, or if I did it was in another language. So I just scan the cover of the original, and be done with it.
Regards,
Rich
