i need help - for some reason my dvd-rw drive doesn't seem to recognise there being a dvd-r in the drive, and it thinks its a cd and will only burn to 700 mb capacity. this has never happened before. what the fuck is wrong? btw im using Cheetah DVD Burner. Any help is appreciated, and don't say 'just google it'.

I find that the best way for the pc to pick up the DVD is by using"DVD CLONE" this picks up the burnt DVD no probs and lets u do wat u want :)

Find your firmware update for your drive here:

No, it will still try to check for updates, but you should disable this function immediately. There will be no more updates, and you really don't want Decrypter to try to check the server for one. It's a bit paranoid, but the server might keep track of your IP address... which might land you in hot water via a lawsuit. So, open Decrypter, and then "Tools" --> "Settings" --> "Events" --> and then under "On Start-up", uncheck the "check for program update" option. Also, I would block Decrypter from accessing the Internet via your firewall.

If you run into a DVD that Decrypter can't handle (as it becomes older and out-of-date), then get ANYDVD and run it in the background while ripping with DVDshrink.
