just check my connect speed and it should be running at around 750 kbs but my downloads on bitcomit are only going at around 20 kbs recently one of my d/l started at 120 kps but then completly stopped d/l at around 55% does anybody know a way to increase my download speed i have tried opening ports but that didnt really..is there any thing else i can try???

If you are useing BitCommet then you are at the Mercy of other poeple, If you understand how Torrents work then you will understand why your Download speeds Change so often, It is because your Download speed depends on how many other Poeple on the Network have the File You are Downloading and how Fast their Connection speed is.....

i have read some threads that have ppl talking about there download speed being around 512 kbs is there a better program to use other then bitcomet for download speed?

That doesn"t mean that you will be able to download at 512kbs...Like I said before your Download speed is totally dependant on how many poeple on the Network have the File you are downloading and there Connection speed....You can"t Magicly download at a Faster speed than the data is being Transfered, It just isn"t possible .....

I have never been able to download faster than 20kbs on Tottents and I have a 2MB/s connection.....

There are quite a Few Bittorrent Clients out there , If you go here there is a Big List of them:

I Don"t know which ones are faster or what but based on how BitTorrent works You probably wouldn"t get too much of a speed Increase useing a Different Client....

When new Torrent Files come out especially Big ones Like Movies it is best to wait for a while till the File has been Seeded then you will get a Faster download Speed...(Seeding is what it is called when a new file is shared, The More the file has been Seeded the More Poeple have the File which means there is More available Bandwidth so you can expect faster downloads)
