Hi, I have the files to burn a DVD...5-VOB files, 2-BUP files and 2-IFO files. I burned them using Nero onto a DVD-R and it turned out great but it has sub titles and I don't want them on there. Is there a way to get them out of there? I have IfoEdit but i don't know how to use it lol.

can someone help me...I'm pretty new to this. THanks

Well, a silly question. Did you try turning them off from the disc setup menu?

Like Earnit said. But in the future on your next copy use DVD Shrink to reauthor and get rid of the subtitles. I have ifo edit and I never use it anymore.

I'm using PowerDVD V3.0 to view the DVD. When i click on the subtitles icon it has two options: Swedish1 and Swedish2. The area that has a check next to "display Subtitles" is grayed out so that you can not UNcheck it.

I will take a look at Shrink and see if i can figure something out...I'm just not sure how it works.

DVD Shrink is pretty simple to use. I used it for the first time tonight and burned a successful movie. Prior to DVD Shrink, I used CloneDVD2. Both have very simple options to remove subtitles.

If you get lost, look at the DVD Shrink user guide on this site.

In DVD Shrink just uncheck the subtitle boxes before backing up.

I would think that you could reprocess them and then remove them. I have done this before w/ CloneDVD but not with DVD Shrink.

Just read the files as if they were the "original" DVD and all should go well.

You should be able to by selecting the "Open..." option under the File Menu and navigating to the folder containing the video files.

when i try to "open files" that are in the Video_TS folder i get an error that says it failed to open "VTS_01_6.VOB"

well I'm not supprised because there is only a 1 thru 5 VOB files lol. So why would I get this error?

Is there a "6" IFO file. Do all the BUP, IFO and VOB files match up?

Here is what I have in the folder "VIDEO_TS"

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
VTS_01_5.VOB

can you just edit one of the IFO with IFOEdit to get rid of them?

I don't know what's causing the problem. Can you play the disk in a standalone player and use the "Subtitle" key on the remote to turn off the subtitles? If so, there should be no reason your virtual dvd player software should also not do so. Otherwise just try to get hold of the original and rerip. You'll likely be ahead in time if you do so.

I don't use IFOEdit so I can't help with that.
