Has anybody ever got this message before "this is not a valid ps2 disc error" sometimes when I back up a ps2 game and load it in my ps2 using swap majic 3.6 it gives me this message. How do I avoid getting this error? Normaly I have to reburn the game a couple times then it finaly works.

a common burning speed is 4x..so i wood s at that speed first..This error message happens if u have a bad dvd, burnt to fast or too slowly, or it depends. Are you using a slide card or a flip top?

Uk,
I am using a flip with swap magic 3.6. Its odd cause sometimes I get the message about it not being a valid disc then I'll reburn it again and it'll work. Do you think the ones that come up as not valid discs are toatly useless, or can a mod chip ps2 play them? I only burn at 4x. Is there a good name brand dvd to use I use TDK DVD-R?

Its most likely the media, i use INFINITI SAMURAI discs burned x4 and have never had a problem having to reburn with swap magic 3.3, when using crap media 3.3 wouldnt read, my other system with a Duo2se mod chip would

Verbatim is probably the best of most people's opinion(including mine) Maxell is very good as well. Try one of those brands and see what happens.
