I'm using VSO DivxtoDVD and CopytoDVD to convery avi files and put them onto DVDs. (It works great btw) What I am converting and burning are episodes of a show I Tivoed. Each episode before the conversion is about 350mb. These programs let you put more than one avi file onto a DVD, however, I don't know how many! I don't know if in the conversion the file size is made larger, smaller, stays the same! I know nothing! The program doesn't let me know if I'm over the limit, under the limit, nothing. Anyone able to offer any help?

I'm no expert or anything but I think DVD Shrink Should help you out on this one. You just Re-author your files and Drag your episodes over. I hope this is somewhat helpful.

The more files you add, the more compression it'll take to fit them all to your dvd because the file size is larger after conversion taking away from the picture quality. You can test different amounts of episodes if you burn them to a dvd-rw first and then see if you can live with the picture quality. Personally, I'd only put around 4-6 half-hour shows to a dvd.

Xenon24 is quite right ccullen, DVD Shrink in re-author mode, will easily cope with this task.

I'd estimate you'll get four episodes on one DVD without compression,
six would require deep analysis.
