OK, recently i downloaded whitenoise.avi (xvid)
Now the only thing i wanted to do was convert it with tmpgenc to dvd. I've tried 4 ways....
1. simple VIDEO+AUDIO (from source) output together in one file, Result = NO SOUND ON PC OR STANDALONE
2.ES Video and audio seperate (from source)
Result = NO SOUND AGAIN!
3.From source, Took sound, converted to wav, then processed to dvd format with tmpgenc
Result = Do i really need to say?
4. Converted to VCD (resulting mpg played sound...woohoo) So i looked on here coz i know most dvd players are compliant with mpg-1 format and found a guide on putting a VCD onto a DVD, tried it after using ssrc and tooLAME...authored it using IFOedit, and guess what...NO FRICKIN SOUND!!!! Now i know its not my burner, I have successfully created backups of ORIGINAL dvd's and my standalone reads them, it just seems my problem is the mp2 sound format ...(oh and by the way, iv even tried ac3 instead of mp2...also no sound when encoding to DVD with tmpgenc)
Now before i rip all my hair out, will someone please come to the rescue...this is driving me NUTS!!!!!!
I can hear you scream "just keep it as a frickin vcd then u numbnuts..." but no, i'm determined!
