I copied a Wrestling DVD to my hard drive. Not protected.

Folder has Video RM and Video TS sub folders. The Video contains menu I want to keep.

Now on hard drive files are over 6mb. DVD shrink comes up with Invalid data in file error.

How to I burn this from my hard drive to DVD+R.

Thanks I have searched and tried many things to no avail.

hi

not sure with video RM is this cancorder footage? the VOB etc in the VIDEO_TS can be burnt to dvdr ok i would think.

you say 6mg did you mean 6gig???

to keep all at 6gig you need a dual layer burner and go iso read then iso write with DVD Decrypter...

but if shrinking is needed you may only get the video ts folder sorted? but stay tuned some here may know what to do for you...

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Sorry for typo - 6gb now on hard drive.

Dont have the dvd RW anymore. I believe the dvd was made from VHS tapes but not sure.

Confused as to how the DVD I copied from was a 4.7gb DVD and when I copy to my hard drive it goes to 6.2gb?

Files in my subfolders are IFO VOB BUP

DVD plays fine on laptop using windows media player or power DVD

Copied to hard drive via DVD Decrypter file mode and straight copy from the DVD to hard drive and get the following:

VIDEO_RM folder:

SONATA.IFO
VIDEO_RM.BUP
SONATA_Debug.IFO
VIDEO_RM.IFO
VIDEO_RM

VIDEO_TS folder:

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_02_0.BUP
VIDEO_TS_IFO
VTS_02_0.IFO
VIDEO_TS (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_01_0.BUP (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_01_2 (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_01_5 (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_02_1 (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_02_4 (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_01_3 (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_02_2 (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_02_5 (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_01_1 (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_01_4 (shows as PowerDVD file)
VTS_02_3 (shows as PowerDVD file)

Thanks for your help- Have tried mock strip VOB Blanker and IFO edit and nothing worked - Not saying I tried it correctly? I tried to follow all directions and guides I could find.

hi

try loading the vidoe ts older to DVD Shrink if it loads it should be ok to compress with that app and set it also to use dvd decrypyter to burn it!

no idea what video rm is?

but try it!!! DVD Shrink is a free app

hi

i just read if you go iso read then iso write with dvd decrypter it should work aswell...

not sure why you have 6gig? it may be wrong as this footage is taken from a standalone dvdrw player fixed to a TV, this is the RM folder you get for navigation purposes...

and if taken to a dvdrw or dvdr it can only be dvdr5 size not 6gig, so use iso read then iso write in dvd dercypter...

Thanks for your suggestions Rotery.

DVD shrink gets invalid data in VOB file error and wont recognize.

I dont have the DVD RW any longer. Thats what was confusing is that it was a 4.7gb disk and now on my hard drive copied direct it is 6.2gb.

I am going to just go and buy some dual layer DVD and attempt to copy.

Thanks

hi

i know another route!

MAIN MOVIE ONLY - from video ts folder !!!

take only the vob files and place in a folder on your HD, then use an app called ifoedit (free) and click the button create ifo! then let it go!

KEEP THE DESTINATION FOLDER SAME AS VOBS !!!!

then load this to dvd shrink to compress!

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

I had a pretty much the same problem. I copied my old Video 8 movies to DVD with Inter Video DVD 2 creator. It works fine on my Sony DVD player. I wanted to copy DVD and when I opened the disk file I noticed that I have two folders Video_RM and Video_TS ?Nero 6 was frozen a few time but finally I burned only Video_TS using Nero 6 and it is OK.
Still have no clue what is Video_RM folder ???

Cheers,

Gordon
