I am backing up a game called xenosaga episode 1 but when I finish converting it to a iso file the size is 8.4 gigs and I have a 4.7 gig disk so how do I make it fit.

sounds like a DVD9 (dual layer) game.
So if it is your don't fit it on a DVD5
Not that you can't, just that you will have to cut out a lot of stuff.
