It's easier if you just use DVD Decrypter or Alcohol to get your ps2 game onto your hdd as an image file to begin with. Are you just copying the contents of the disc to your hdd or something?

Also, are you using a modchip or boot disc to load your backups, as they will not work without one of these methods being used.

are you burning the image (ISO) from an original disc?
If so it is quite simple
Get DVD Decypter
Go to MODE->ISO->READ and pick a place on your hard drive to save it, easiest way is to create a new folder and save it in that folder so it is easy to find, then press the decrypt button
Then when it is done go MODE->ISO->WRITE
put in a blank DVD and browse your hard drive for the files it created. In that folder should be an MDS file and an ISO file.
Choose the ISO file and hit the decrypt button and let it burn.

If you downloaded files from the net then you can not just turn them into an ISO file, they have to be extracted.

He means if you d/l'ed them off the net, they are probably compressed using WinRAR or similar. Many files like this: (xx.000,xx.001,etc.) If you uncompress them, you may get your .iso file you need.

He's referring to the version of ps2 you have. There are v1-12 so far, with 12 being the slimline.

You can find your ps2 version here(read 'Description'):

OK, if you want help provide the following.
1.what type of files are they? type out the name just as it is in the folder you downloaded it to. If you installed winrar and they are .rar files the icon (picture) for the file looks like a stack of books see picture below, look at first icon.

2.do you have Winrar? if not then you can't extract the ISO file
3.if you used Winrar did you try to extract all the files? if you did then that is wrong. you only extract the first file in the list (svr.000 orsvr.001 or something that looks like that)
4.what program are you burning them with?
5. What brand of DVD are you using (TDK,Maxcell,Memorex ect...)

I have Smackdown VS Raw and copied it with no problems at all.
