My favorite guide for doing this was on the now dead ET. But this one is basically the same. http://dvdlab.net/dvdlab/tutorial/svcd.html

I've already had a few probs when following the suggested guide, when I select the Mpgs, the following error messages pop up:
"Cause: Not a 11172-2 or 13818-2 Video Stream"
"If this is a capture from TV it may have missing/wrong header"
"please go to Tools and try Fix Stream headers on the file"

what does the above error messages mean and what can I do to remedie this??

thanks

Here's thread where the process is explained better http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/102581 The method i'm pointing you to isn't really the BEST way, but it's the quickest. My personal favorite guide for "best" way would be this one http://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=171216 but it can be complicated.

Anyway hope that helps. If not post again and don't get discouraged. There are a LOT of pros (not me) around here that can help you.

Here's a better one, for dvdlab: http://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?link=727
Do exactly what DVDLab tells you! go to Tools, fix stream header.

Black holes are where God divided by zero...
