Ok I bought an xbox with xecuter2 from ebay. I have learned how to burn games and change skins. ha. other than that this thing is new to me. Just a few moments ago I was looking at the bios and I was asked if I wanted to flash it. I clicked Y and the next thing I see is "ERASING" i FREAKED OUT AND powered the xbox off. Now when I try to turn it on, I just get a blank screen. Please someone help. I hope I didn't erase the whole thing.

try switch to the other bank using the external dipswitch and see what happens...if you still get nothing you will need to buy a programmer to flash a bios to your chip...if you do have to buy a programmer, make sure you use the correct bios for the version xbox you have.

I don't see any switches on the xbox. Is this something that is inside the xbox. I did write down the bioses that were in my xbox. What does it mean to flash a bios? I had 4 of them listed.

Hopefully he's talking about the chip being an xecuter2 and not that the onboard tsop has been flashed with the xecuter2 bios.

My xbox was working fine until I had to mess with it. I went to the bios list and clicked A on one of them, and then Y to flash it. Which I have no clue what that means. And then I shut the system down as soon as i saw it erasing itself. That didn't seem to help.

I assume it does. When i got it from ebay a note said all the games were on the hd. I have since added several. and there are thousands of games from super nintendo to atari. I know I shouldn't have touched it. I hate not understanding how something works and tend to get myself into situations like these. But in the end I learn something.

there is 6 screws on the bottom, 1 under each rubber foot, and 2 underneathe the stickers...then you will need a smaller torx screwdriver for 3 inside the xbox that hold the trays down.

there are 3 screws that hold down the trays...take them out and both trays should lift out, make sure you don't pull too hard and ruin the power wires, or the ide cable.

I'll say one thing here, edit your post now and take your email addy off it. It's against the rules to post email addresses in the forum. Next time PM the person and send him/her/it the email address that way. It's to prevent you from gatting crazy amounts of spam.
