hi! i have got a dms4 modchip installed on my ps2 and i have flashed the bios with toxic bios v1.3.

i have downloaded tekken 5 and have extracted the iso and copied it to a dvd in mode 2/xa using magic ISO.

when i insert the copied tekken 5 dvd it starts up and comes up with the namco screen. it freezes there for about 10 miniuts while it loads and then comes up with the space aircraft thingy and then it goes black for about another 10 mins and then plays the intro movie very jerky stutters alot. after that it the comes up with a loading screen and again it takes about 10 mins. then it tries to launch the main game. its then comes up with a select difficuilty menu. the music keeps stopping and starting and you cant moveup and down or select something most of the time.

what could it be?

i have also downoaded and burned super monkey ball to a dvd. this is pracitacally the same but not as bad. when you put the disk in it goes black and takes about 5minsto load up the sega title it then takes about 2 mins to move on from there. the game works ok from there on but there are a few other things like long loading time inbetween levels and the music some times gets muddled up.

if anyone could help me i would greatly appreciate it

oh and one other thing. i am using a v8 ps2 and i am using bulkpaq 8x speed dvd r

It is most likely your cheap media causing your problems
PS2 games need to be burned onto quality media or they often have Audio/Video problems
A few good one's are TDK,Philips,Verbatim,Ritec G04
Movies are not so picky so just keep the one's you have for copying them. And go get some good media for your games.

I use Philips 8X DVD-R and TDK 4X DVD-R all the time with no problems.
I also have a DMS4 Pro chip in mine.
Have you backed up games before onto those discs with no problems? Like using swap magic or something before you got your mod chip?

no this is my first mod chip. the dvds i am using though say that they are enhanced for data,video,and console and ill try your advice anyway.
