3 co-workers, have v7's PS2. They have the soldless modchip that requires swap magic. They were playing GTA SA (one of those was a back up and the other two were originals. During gameplay their PS2 froze so they shut it off, and when they turned it back on its just a black screen and will not boot back on. They could also not get their cd tray to open. When you power on the system the tv flickers but no main screen, all you ever get is a blank black screen. LED's light up. I took out that solderless mod chip and still nothing. Someone please help.

Sounds like it's totally messed.. thats what modchips do to your console.. Stick with Swap Magic + The Slide tool I say.
