I just downloaded DVD Shrink and dvd decrypter and Im trying to burn the 2nd season of King of the Hill the first one did great I burned it but ever since the encoding is taking forever and I jsut quit because it says it will take 3 hours and I really dont want to ruin my computer.... Does this download a lot to the computer?

The encoding process doesn't download files to your hard drive, and it usually takes a fairly long time.

it shouldn't be taking 3 hours to do encode should it...and when is it when it downloads to your harddrive?

Are you copying it to your hard drive or burning it to a DVD.

I do the thing where you put
Select backup target: iso image file and burn with DVD Decrypter
its taking forever to encode the first time i did it...it took 3 minutes

3 minutes seems extremely fast for encoding a full DVD, but i don't know why such a huge change in the encoding time would occur. Mabye I should try re-installing it. lol

i'll try, but didn't go to bed 'til 5am, and i've just watched ocean's 12, very good but confusing, so now watching attack of the clones to wake myself up.
i think we need the original poster to give us more info here - i knocked something up for another thread a few mins ago - i'll paste it here also -
@mjmjmj - let's try something -
download Nero info-tool from here - http://www.snapfiles.com/get/neroinfo.html
Run it, note down the following, and paste here. Here's what mine shows -
click on the drive tab, note down the firmware version
click on configuration tab, note down the DMA fields, ie on or off
it may be worth clicking on the aspi tab, and note down anything that might be missing
