When I try to open a file that contains a movie it says, Unexpected error, source cannot find file. Can someone help me figure out why?

If your movie on your hard drive is a VIDEO_TS folder with a bunch of VOB files in it, click Open Files in DVD Shrink and choose the VIDEO_TS folder.

If it's an ISO image, click File, then Open Disc Image, find your ISO or MDS file (both should work the exact same way).

How do I convert video clips so they can be compressed in DVD Shrink. I think it is a divx AC3 file. Im not sure. I just want to encode them faster because my encoder (nerovision) takes like 5 or 6 hours. I noticed that when I encoded from another dvd it only took about 25 minutes in DVD Shrink. Any suggestions?

you can try Vso DivxtoDvd, It creates a folder that you can then use DVD Shrink if you need to.

sounds like messed up structure. Do you just have VOB files or are there IFO and BUP files as well? There should be. If not, you can use IFOEdit to create them, which I have done and it works. Otherwise, you may have to re-rip the movie.

that's a point. or you could use vobblanker (free) and pass all files thru it, i've used that a few times and it's worked for me

I have the same problem. Point it to the folder and files that I KNOW are there and it says they don't exist. This happens when I am trying to shrink files that have started life as a VHS tape, been copied to HDD using the tuner (set to 'DVD' record, which I think is MPEG2 std), then I WinAVI convert them to the mpg to VIDEO/AUDIO IFo's BUP's etc. The plan is then to Shrink them but DVD Shrink just won't find them. Anyone know what this is about? It happens consistently.
