Help! PS2 won't read Swap Magic 3.6

I just received Swap Magin 3.6 and a Slide Card in the mail but the problem is that i get "Disk Read Error" every time i put the CD in my PS2. This happens with both the Swap Magic CD and DVD. I have a US PS2 and these are US Swap Magic disks. Did i just get a faulty disk, or is there some way to fix this? My PS2 is fine since it reads all my games without any problems. To clarify, I am talking about the actual Swap Magic disks that i get "Disk Read Errors" on, not backups

I was thinking about the laser, but since you said it works fine with the games I quess I'm wrong. You probaly got a faulty disc. If you really get a faulty disc, the only way is to return it for another one. Anyway, I try using it on someone else PS2 and see if it works. Save ya lotta time. Almost forgot, where did you get your SM disc from?

I got it at revolution-sales.com . I read somewhere else that maybe it is because my PS2 is an older version that it has problem reading SM. Could this be the case?

Yeah, try cleaning the lens, but I don't think that's the case. My PS2 is old too and somtimes get that screen when I tried to play scratched movies or games or bad copies of games/movies/DVDs.(Model # SCPH-39001(V7),Swap Magic 3.6,Flip top). And I had just installed Flip-Top and SMD for my PS2. Everything works great. But I think your is faulty because SMD data are pressed onto a PS2 game DVD. That eliminate the choice of "PLease insert a PS2 formatted disc". So that's probably the only choice left(Disc Read Errors). :-)
