i have dvd decrypter and have ripped several dvds. they all play video just fine but are never in english. always in french or spanish. i would greatly appreciate tips on how to run them in english.

Make sure you have the appropriate language boxes checked in the program.

It depends on how you rip the audio. If you use DVDtoAVI (I do) you have to choose the correct audiostream. With most DVD's English is the first audiostream, which is the default setting in DVDtoAVi. Sometimes however, the first stream is another language and English is stream 2 or 3 or 4 etc.

Check in DVDdecrypter/smartripper which audiostream has the language you want, then make sure you extract the right audiotrack. For instance, if the third audiostream is English, make sure the third audiostream is extracted.

Also, on most DVD's there is more than one English audiostream. Choose the first, the rest is probably the director's comment.
