Please, anyone familiar with the similar problem? I'm using Gadwin to capture a single picture from AVI format, but when go back to see it, THERE's NOTHING THERE, just black screen! Anyone knows how to pull the picture from AVI or MPG format and save it?

Thanks, Jim!
I tried and it's working. Your sugestion was the first serious answer to my problems. Everything started a year ago when I bought stupid, stupid, stupid Sony HC-14 camera. Since that I had problems with capturing video and pictures. The quality of pics is much better from uncompressed AVI than from Video Maker. The only thing is that the picture is streched from up to down, I tried all options and nothing helps. Thanks anyway, man! Greetings from Croatia!

If it's stretched, then it's possible you're recording in NTSC mode, and you need PAL.
Virtualdub will also resize the video for you.
