I just got a Lite0n SOHW-1693, I have burned a few things successfully but now when I try to burn it either crashes when I try to load my saved project or it begins to burn and stops mid burn for no apparent reason. I use Nero 6.6 I think, and I also use divxtodvd to encode the files. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas as to what the problem might be. HELP! BTW I have a dell dimension 2400 with 256 mb of ram. Is that enough?

hi

so you use divxtodvd and get files of bup/ifo/vob extension and then Nero burning rom (not visionexpress!) bombs out for you?

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

No sorry, I use Nero vision express. This last time it failed it my comp said that it was low on virtual memory and that requests may be denied. That caused my burner to stop. That has happened like 3 times now. Does that mean I need more ram? I only have 256mb of ram right now.

@Maralieus - i've been following a few of your threads and you seem to having all sorts of problems with DVD Shrink, Nero, etc.
I wonder if it's time to rewind a little - try this -

download Nero info-tool from here - http://www.snapfiles.com/get/neroinfo.html

Run it, note down the following, and paste here. Here's what mine shows -

click on the drive tab, note down the firmware version

click on configuration tab, note down the DMA fields, ie on or off

it may be worth clicking on the aspi tab, and note down anything that might be missing

if ASPI is listed as not installed, download ASPI 4.71 from here - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/aspi.cfm - then run it to install it

You could post your own pictures like this - (i do this the same way, but i copy/pasted this from one of the moderators' posts) -

Step 1: push ctrl + PrintScreen (above the insert button)

Step 2: Open paint .. click start -> programs -> accessories -> paint

Step 3: push ctrl + v

Step 4: crop your image. I crop what I want to show -> cut it -> open new -> paste it. Crop only what you want to keep

Step 5: save as jpeg

Step 6: Host the jpeg here: http://imageshack.us/

It may be worth checking media too; download dvdinfopro (free) and run a media info check and post details.

Maybe we can get to the bottom of why you're having a few different problems and get you burning again

How exactly should I go about hosting the pics? Should I start a new blog or just post them wherever?

I just downloaded the aspi 4.7 but when I try to open it it says AUTOEXEC.NT program not suitable for running MS-DOS or Windows. I have had this problem before and fixed it by going into the repair file and taking files from there but not this time. Im lost.

look up a few lines, i'd explained how to create/upload your pictures to a website. To show them here you enclose the links inside a [ img ]website-address-of-your-picture-here.jpg[ / img ]

you'd have to remove the space from within the square brackets for it to work correctly.

as for ASPI drivers, do exactly as i said before - download from - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/aspi.cfm - then run it to install it
