A long time ago, I think I figured out how to do this...

I want to save an ASF video stream locally.

The site I go to has an internal redirect that sends you the stream from the main URL. There must be a way to save it locally.

I have Windows/XP/Pro and FreeBSD to work with.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
