Hi guys.
How about we use Daemon tools and Nero to burn PS2 games.
it works like this.
first you have to mount the iso file (made from the games dvd)using Daemon tools .
Second open Nero and select the Copy DVD icon and copy mounted iso (using Daemon tools) on DVD.
its like from your virtual dvd-drive(made by daemon tools)to your real dvd-drive.

I know yeah. This way is hardly revolutionary. Although DVD Decrypter is now no more and discontinued, you can still download it off here and a few other places. I would get it while you can!

i agree, Nero is ok, and you don't need to use two seperate programs to do it, just Nero.
But DVD Decrypter is the shiznit
fast, reliable....works every time for me.
I just have to remember to turn off the auto update feature now.
Also as a second choice i would say Alcohol 120%

hey hoping smoebody can help cos im slowly going crazy here. i have an iso for ps2 game moto gp 4 and i seem to be trying in vain to get it to work on my ps2. i have swap magic 3.6 and other backups that have been given to me work fine but when i try to burn them myself swap magic always tells me that it is "not a valid ps2 disc". the steps i try are as follows.
1 - get file
2 - unrar to get iso file
3 - dvd decryptor write iso at lowest supported speed
4 - burn is always successful files show up on pc but when inserted in ps2 (via sm3.6) it doesnt work. any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I have a few questions for -masterxxx- and this "A new way to burn PS2 games"
Quote:

What does Daemon Tools have to do with this?
Quote:

Why would you have to mount the ISO to a virtual drive if you already have it ISO form ready to burn?
Quote:

I have no clue to what the hell your talking about ???

now your really confusing me.

As -Steve-OOO- questioned, Why not just use DVD Decrypter ?

Im not being rude in anyway but your whole method seems pointless.

How did you get an ISO image anyway?

there are others with this same problem
it seemed to help burning a little faster than you probably normally do
say x4

OK, I downloaded all the software and made iso from kill*one and when decrypter gets done it makes 2 files. ( one is an iso and the other is MDS file ) OK, well, I have burned both of these with Nero 6 as a dvd copy and used the daemon tool to act as a dvd drive and copied on the fly. I burned the just the iso on the first cd and it would not play, then I burned just the MDS file on the other cd and same story, will not work. Both discs have burn 100% and when I place them in my PS2 it goes to the red not a PS@ Disc. I burned them at 4x my writer will not go any slower than that. DO I HAVE TO HAVE A MOD for this to work>?????>>>????? LOST bad here ppl.

you dont burn the .mds file to disc

use DVD decrypter (it will help us all and you), then go to mode << iso << write, then browse to where you .mds file and select that too burn

the .mds file has the info to burn the iso, so just select the mds, i know its like 4kb but it will burn the iso for you

and no your ps2 has to be modded to read copied discs

PS2 games are actually pressed DVD/CD discs, they are not burned. PS2 games use the Burst Cutting Area (BCA) of the disc to identify themselves to the PS2 unit. The BCA is not part of a disc that you can burn on, it is only replicated on pressed discs.

So, the only way to play backups is to get boot-discs or a mod-chip.

With the boot-discs (swap magic) you need a 'tool' to open
the tray without pressing eject for the backups to work.
