...and the closest thing i hear about a sequal is FFVII: Dirge of Cerebus for PS2. It's purpose is to show further more how the world of FFVII has changed due to the fall of Midgar.

Ill try them. But im in a bit of a slump. Im trying to finish Brave Fencer Musashi. I can't play two RPGs at one time. It slows down their stories to mollasses (if i spelled it right.)

lol, 2 rpg's that's crazy talk. i've only tried it once with FF7 and FF8. lemme tell you, forgetting the controls is my only beef. i forgot that 8 let me use my analog stick while 7 didnt. so i was confounded and confused while i configured my controller to act right shen i transition between games. i think that i just flat out stopped playing both of them at that time and focused on something else.

I think the craziest thing is that it's sort of a challenge/intimidation/treat that im on, (lets say) disk one of FFVII and on disk 3 of (lets say) FFVIII.

It pisses off to the point that ill just stop playing for a few weeks and go under recollection rehab (LOL)

i think once i told myself i was going to try to play 7,8 and 9. but since i managed to only like the quotes at the end of 9, i didnt really feel like going thru it just to read the stuff at the end. most of the time i played 7 just to get to the chocobo races. and 8 was cool, but flying around in the ragnarok airship was the best. but those are just my opinions and views. all the games were great at the times. and they're still enjoyable, but being lazy and only wanting to do certain parts of stuff made it seem like too much of a hassle just to play thru.

ive seen the new Musashi Samuri Warrior. It looks like an imitation so i havent tried it. He barely even has purple hair anymore! But yeah i know what you mean. A lot of the copies of BFM for PSone had a glitch on it. I wonder why.

who knows about BFM...

but a thought just came this morning. we've all heard the rumors about PS3 being pushed back into '07. that would be perfect timing because the FF7 ten year anniversary is coming. if squarEnix 'teamed up' with sony, to put FF7 out as a launch title, it's almost guaranteed that the PS3 would sell like hotcakes on day one.

definitely something do look into. I had never thought of that. BUT theres two problems with the awesome but unlikely theory. There are already about 6 launch games ready for ps3. Plus, SONY would lose way too much. That would give 360 and Revolution (plus some handhelds) way too far of a head start. But it is a good idea.

Yea i have to agree with him... Be good for Square-Enix but Sony would lose alot of needed time and money waiting that long...

i dont think that i knew there were titles already ready for launch already. would have been a nice idea. honestly, i hadnt considered that or the 360 and its... whatever. i wasnt a fan of the original xbox, and i'm not really concerned about its next gen counterpart. honestly, the ps3 doesnt really excite me. neither of the numbers that were calculated will mean anything to me until i get the system in my hands. i dont even remember being halfway excited about any of the launch titles, but since i'm a final fantasy fan, i got completely interested in a possible FF7 remake. well hopefully (a big) IF squarEnix does do FF7 for ps3, that would be my first reason to get the ps3. everything else will have to be very attractive with reasonable prices.

Yea... I wasn't too excited over the first Xbox either and not really interested in the Xbox 360... only think I've seen so far about Xbox I like is the Dead or Alive series... which originated on the Playstation anyways...

I was a fan of DOA until the volleyball title, then my interest pretty much waned......

I saw the previews for the next DOA game, I almost laughed over how ridiculous it looked. The demo video that I saw for it looked glitchy as hell. Hits were registering when there was no contact, physics were thrown out the window, and something was definitely wrong with the models.

However, I did notice one thing, a lot more emphasis on boobs and panties. Hey, if that's what people want, then I guess that's what they'll make?

Anyways, 3D fighters have been pretty crappy since the day they came out. I think Tekken 5 is the best one I've seen in a long time since Tekken 3. DOA was interesting, and DOA2 was definitely playable, but after that there really hasn't been much to hold mine, or most other fighters' interest in that realm.

I mean, is there any other reason why the most popular fighting games are the Guilty Gear and Capcom Vs. games that came out a couple years back? I mean, those games definitely kicked major ass, and there haven't really been any remakes of them for at least the last three years (not counting Guilty Gear Isuka).

Bah, whatever, I got off-topic, anyways, anyone know when Advent Children and the rest of that stuff IS supposed to come out? Jesus, Square Enix sure is confusing as hell when it comes to release dates.

Final Fantasy VII International, what exactly is it? ive read that it was just a re-release in Japan and the extras were Ruby and Emerald weapon and a few new materia such as underwater materia. If this is true then all NZ PAL copys are the international version because they all had these features. Can someone fill me in? Or was the international version labeled PAL, please this is giving me the shits. Please someone fill me in.

ok :-p ill answer myself (search'd ebay didnt think :-S sorry :-()
When Final Fantasy 7 came out in America it included quite a few things that the original Japanese version didn't, namely some of the items, FMVs and the Emerald and Ruby weapons. The Japanese people got all pissed so Square then released Final Fantasy 7 International in Japan which basically is our US version in Japanese. When they re-released it however, they added in an extremely cool 4th disk with tons and tons of sweet extras that you can't find anywhere else. The extras are basically divided into 3 categories; World, Data File, and Making. (Just if anyone else like me didnt know)
Ok then so its 4 Disks but there is only 3 in the Display, why would they not show the 4th as it has significants of making it the International Version

i can only assume that they didnt show the 4th disc because they're not promoting the extras. either that or they're gonna surprize us with it later on. i was not aware that the original international version contained extras. i was pretty content with my original us version so i didnt pay attention to much else happening with FF7 until i got wind of AC.

Well... knowing the way Square is... we prolyl won't get our hands on ne "extras" the international version may have... they'll keep that and sell it seperate.. trying to make more money with it... and They are really confusing when it comes to release dates... they name off a few to get ppls attentions but never release on those dates... always pushed back...

I'm not downing Square... they are my favorite rpg making company... but they do have their draw backs... like every other company.
