being a devoted fan of FF7, i wouldnt care if AC had a plot or not. i'm the type of fanboy who is willing to wait for FF7's release on ps3 just to get the console. any other reason is just madness. i assume the ppl who say AC has no plot are the ones who arent easily impressed with much.

I agree with SuperXL... but I think it had a plot... at least to an extent... But I like it either way so it doesn't matter to me... AC was deffinatly a piece of art ^_^

that is true that final fantasy is a lot of people's favorite, but rereleasing the first 6 will not produce the same results as FF7 will. i guarantee you that most ppl got TRULY introduced to final fantasy's goodness when 7 came out. i had heard of it, but wasnt interested until a friend of mine was playing FF7. then i knew i had to play it. i have successfully finished 7 all the way thru X-2. i tried to be interested in the lower versions, but i just couldnt seem to stay interested in them for very long. like i said, FF is a favorie series, but 7 is the world's favorite game. why do you think they even bothered with the tech demo? if 1-6 got all the raves as 7, then they'd rerelease the ENTIRE FF series.

WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?
As good as FFVII is, not everyone sees a game as a serious compelling story. There are alot of people that see a compelling story in the form of a book or film. I think they should adapt the final fantasy VII to book form. NOT Manga, actual book. And/or into a movie. They should, i think. Think about it. Best Selling book. Packed movie houses. And more appreciation for what games are. I mean, imagine yourself as a hardcore reader, reading the FFVII book, then when you finsh the book, the back flap says that it is based on a ps1 game. That would capture a readers curiosity, and help them realize games as a medium not only for art, but literature itself.

i must say ff7 was my 1st real step into the rpg world, that was just like 4 years ago , i remenber buying ff1 for nes back in the snes days for like 99c some kid sold it to me at school for lunch or something,then i played i but didnt liked it contra ,mario was my thing back then, then 4 years ago i got ff7 for like 3 bucks at a yard sale i remenber hearing about ff7 when it was 1st released in the us ,but i didnt had a ps back then ,so the ff7 has been my fv even thought i had only played ffx,ffx-2,ff9,ff1,ff7...so you could say i dont really know much about rpg's...
so i would really like to see the ff7 remake.. and ac movie too.. to all the people who have seen the movie would you mind not telling anything about the movie plz ,i have waited for this movie for years and dont to know anything about it ,till i get to see it with my own eyes plz..

Did anyone ever get to play FFVII for pc? I got it yesterday, and the graphics are way better than the PS1 version. Try it. it is impossible to find, but you can find it on a Bit Torrent.

The FF series is definately the best series out there. I have played at least from FFII (I think I saw FFI once but I'm not sure). I started on RPGs with Dragon Warrior for NES (anyone remember that one?) and have all 4 of those. Somewhere in the mix I saw, I think, FFI and heard that FFII was coming out, so I got it and was hooked from there on. FFII was a great game, and when I heard that FFIII was coming I think I reserved it as early as I could. FFIII was the best game I had ever played. The graphics were great, comparatively, and the story, characters, and music were awesome. Then came FFVII. I bought my PS1 for the sole purpose of that game. The graphics were awesome, the summons were mind-blowing, and the characters, story, and music were phenomenal. This was definately the game of all games, especially at the time. The versions that followed (I have VIII, IX, and X, but not X-2) were all very good, but were always just shy of the mark that FFVII had set.
As far as game play, the reason that I got into RPGs, Dragon Warrior, was that I have never been very coordinated or good at other games, and here was a game that you didn't need to have super-dexterity to play. There was story, music and action, although not much in DW, and it was something I could play. And play I did; for hours on end, days at a time, until I was finished. The DW series, after 1, had multiple chatacters and turn-based play which was cool because you could make decisions with a little thought rather than just reacting. So when the FF series came around with that similar style of play I was there, and haven't left. I know a lot of people didn't like this style as much because they were used to playing action-based and this is sometimes considered 'boring'.
If there was to be a remake of VII specifically it would have to be done very cautiously. VII was so good to start with there's not much room from improvement. The graphics could be updated and there could be some story clarifications, but most things should be left alone. As far as remaking the earlier ones, it's not necessary, but if done right would be really really cool.
Wow! Holy long! Ok, to sum up: FFVII best, but followed closely by FFIII. A remake could be good but would have to be handled correctly. Turn-based play is good, for game, play , and nostalgic value. I did hear somewhere that the Revolution is supposed to be able to play at least ROMs of a lot of older games, which would be very cool. Sorry for the long windedness. :D

I thought about getting the pc version of FFVII... but is there nething worth it besides the graphics are better?

OK just wondering...
How do you guys want FFVII to be. The Exact same story or a new story, sort of like a sequel. And anything else. I want a new story. I would also like to see the death of the time bar. I like FFX's style of battle. I also like the orb thing more than FFVII's materia thing.

Im not totally sure. But I think there are bosses and minigame exclusives to the pc version. After all, the pc version is called FFVII:PLATINUM EDITION/ULTIMA EDITION

Ive seen sephy ones...
and about the what I want in FFVII... more of the story but the same...
add like... Last Order stuff in it and more Zack/Aeris playing and story behind them...

I always thought that they did'nt show enough of Aeris, or Zach. I'm mostly concerned about Aeris. Cause face it. When Aeris died, she just died for most people. Probably cause they didnt know enogh about her to care.

Yea... I guess thats true... but I would love to see more of each... maybe even make Zack a playble character or something... or make all those rumor true about bringing Aeris back to life ^_^

Aeris says that in the game itself that Zack was her first boyfriend...
And Sephiroth isn't that cool to me... I hate overrated characters ^_^;;

How is Seph. overrated? He's like one of teh coolest characters in teh game. I don't think his ending was deserving of him nor he of it. He didn't even get a chance to fight. YOu just do an omnislash and he's dead. The other reason I want to playas him is because in the game he's never his true self. He's always bizzaro to something.

damn!!! i was at ebgams the other day and i they had ac movie for pre-order ,damn it final price is like 30 bucks ..what i know i want to see this movie so bad and huge fan all all that BUT almost 30 bucks its just a movie , i never paid more than 25 bucks for a movie.(hollywood movies that cost millions and millions to make) real moves not some pc animated thing...anyways i think square is really crossing the line here after more than year of delays, and now this im thinking this is more of a rip off..i dont think its really worth it im mean its just a 1 hour and coins movie ,i gonna rather buy a video game for 20$ bucks and more more hours of entertainent .....any1 body whos reading this what yall think rip off or not ???
