I think I installed the mod chip correctly if you would like I can post pictures of it. But every time I try to start it I get the "Your XBOX needs to be taken in for services" screen. I haven't installed the USB port becuase I sorta don't know where to put it. Not too sure what to do now...

Im not to sure all it says is "Your XBOX requires service. Please call XBOX Customer Support." Not sure if this helps but my xbox version is 1.0 and I am using the Xenium SPICE.

No is it possible the wire I put in the D0 spot may have came out and also im not too sure if I put them in the LPC ports good since theres solder already in the ports so I just put the solderless peice over it and screwed it in and move the wire to the D0 spot.

you need to remove the laquer from the lpc...carefully scratch it, and make sure your d0 is alligned properly

Ok I found it the wire that went out of the D0 slot. Got it to work and I have version 2.0 and I have no idea what to do really after this.

you need to flash your chip with a hacked bios, and then install a dashboard.

check the software section to find a thread that tells you where to obtain files and such.
