I wanted to clear some space on my computer so I decided to put about 4gb of mp3's on a dvd-r (radius brand, i got it for free). So I go to Nero burning rom to burn a dvd disc for the first time but apparently, the disc is corrupt? or I did not do it right. And let's just say I deleted all of the mp3's without checking the disc.

The window that comes up says 'dvd-rom (iso)' with a box checked that says multisession disc whatever that may mean. I click the box that says 'new'.

The main interface comes up and I correctly drag-n-drop my files onto the blank disc. I then go to recorder>burn compilation and click 'burn'.

I see that the process is going to take 30 mins so I decide to go and do my groceries. I get back and see that it has completed successfully. So I click ok and go to delete my files. I go to my computer to see that I am short of what I expect to be at by about 1gb. So I click on the dvd-rw drive which strangely says 'cd drive' with a 'dvd-r' box over the image of the disc when the disc is in the drive.

When I right-click and want to explore, I get an 'E:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function' error.

What did I do wrong? I have burned mp3's on the same type of radius disc (maybe it was a dvd+/-rw but definitely the same brand)and have not had troubled before though I used roxio that time.

And why would I be short a GB even after deleting the same files that I put on the disc?
