I feel that this is a concern that needs to be posted, hence I've seen many a few posts that I've come to the same conclusion to.

If you live in the usa your format is NTSC,

If you live in the UK, your format is PAL,

When games are illegally pirated by people, sometimes people do not notice the region is different from their own. Then they come on here complaining that the cd doesnt work and say that have got it off of bittorrent. If you have a chipped Ps2 that you have had for awhile, or that someone installed for you, Verify that it has Auto Region Encoding, which means that the chip can change the region of the ps2 from NTSC to PAL, and vice versa. If you DO NOT have this, then you CAN NOT play PAL games on NTSC Ps2's and vice versa. The only exception here is that Swap Magic 3.3 and up (I'm pretty sure) have built-in Auto Region Encoding. so before you post about problems with a burn off of a bittorrent iso/mds/bin/cue/etc.. Make sure that you have A: Auto Region Encoding OR B: Swap Magic 3.3 up.
