k,i have tons of adaware and freeware on my computer,what are good programs to take that sh** off??

I used to have ALL KINDS of horrible spyware problems, and at one point actually had to restore my whole system from a norton ghost image to get back into business. That was a long time ago. Now, in addition to a virus scanner, I use ALL FOUR of the following programs simultaneously... and haven't had any problems ever since.

Adaware:

Spybot Search & Destroy:

Spyware Blaster:

Just keep them updated, and you'll be fine.

A few that you have to pay for but are VERY good are spysweeper, pest patrol and spy eliminator. all have free trials. two other free ones that work well to are CCleaner and Highjack this. good luck and stay out of the porn sites LOL

A couple good things about my girlfriend is that i can shut it off and turn it back on when i feel like it. Also it never yells or screems at me i get to do that to my girlfriend!!! Man i love my girlfriend!!!(Its my pc)lol

Try other anti-spyware apps to get rid of them...not one single app can really get rid of everything....

Microsoft Anti-Spyware:

Also, you might want to download and install anti-virus software.

A good one one to consider is: AntiVir XP

Also, download the latest critial updates (patches) from Microsoft...

Remember, keep updating them and run scans reguarly to prevent/detect new spyware/adware...

Also, go here and run SP.html Hijack Fixer. (Should use it before you run CWshredder)

Once I had an infection that wouldn't go away, and I had to run SP.html Hijack Fixer, then CWshredder, (then Adaware & Spybot Search 'n Destroy)... all in that order... to get rid of it.

since I've been using FireFox, I don't get much adware and spyware anymore. That may be something to look into as well.
