ok im not very sure how to put roms on a hdd AT ALL...sorry for being stupid but after searching and reading threads I still have came up with nothing.

I have done some searches on the internet but this all i had

You will need a Network Adapter to connect the HDD (the IDE and Power adapter is on the Network Adapter). You can find HDAdvance (what I bought) at ConsoleSource.com for around 30 dollars. Once you have that you can install a HDD (Maxtors work perfectly) any size you want. HDAdvance will say only compatible with up to 120 GB HDD (we'll take care of that later) but you can get as big as you can afford. Once you get HDA and a HDD, download ExecFTPs (google it) and HDL_Dumb (google it too). Find the IP to your PS2 by booting up a game and connecting to the Internet and checking the router log (or asign it an IP with your router <-- what I did). Configure the CONFIG.DAT file in ExecFTPs with your IP (see ExecFTPs's readme). Use CDgenPs2 (google it) to create a BIN file of the ExecFTPs's files. Use CDMage (google it) to fix the BIN file. And then convert the BIN to an ISO. Hook the PS2 HDD to your CPU and use HDL_Dumb to install ExecFTPs on your PS2 HDD. Put the PS2 HDD back into the PS2 and run ExecFTPs and use a FTP program to connect to the PS2 IP. You can now transfer files to the Memory Card, including the Independence Memory Card Exploit that allows you to boot programs from your MC.

That is a shortened version of how to do it. If you want the full tutorial PM me and I'll give you a link. This is the only way to install the exploit which you can then install PS2os and be able to EMUs and ROMS on an unmodded PS2.

so if anyone could help it'd be cool thnx.

are you trying to use an emulator with roms on the hdd? or are you trying to put ps2 games on the hdd? what exactly are you trying to do? did you try to follow the steps that you had in the post? just keep looking around. you will find a tutorial that explains all you need.

it's supposedly easy with the swap magic cd's or the slide card. there are tutorials about the emulators. search for PGEN, or SNES-station. there are tutorials for burning cd's to load files, tutorials for ftp process, and i'm not sure but there may be a tutorial for using your USB. that is how i did mine. i used launch elf's file browser to copy roms from my USB drive to my hard drive.

the roms are supposed to load from CD-R ONLY. you would have to use the slide card and/or swap magic or something. i dont have these two and cannot say how they work.

at the present moment there is no hdd support. from the way things look, there wont be any support unless someone does a brand new emu or the source code is released.

theres no need to use hdd with snes-station just burn it to a cd-r or a dvd-r and go from there. you just can't do it i meen you can put the emulator on the hdd but you would have to swap the hddloader with a cd-r with roms on it so it can play so theres no reason to put it on hdd burn it on media and have fun

my point in mentioning that was because it'd be tons easier to play everything from hdd. at the present moment there is no hdd support. and right now you have to use swap magic or slide card just to play the roms. ppl like me who dont have the SM disc or slide card cant just hop up and play the games. that was my point. so that's why i would hope for hdd support soon.
