WinAVI just diappears!

I have tried both the demo version and the complete version, and when I start one of them, the splash screen comes up and then it just goes away.

Anyone have any ideas what's wrong?

sounds very wierd? but not used winavi, i use either divxtodvd or avi2dvd or film machine all free apps...

could also use TMPGEnc plus too...
