Alcohol 120%

I am a Noob and have looked at a variety of programs and wondered what the pros and cons of Alcohol 120% are?
I am a Music concert DVD back up freak. Since I am new I had the program 1 Click dvd copy recommended to me and I use Any DVD and have had no problems doing a copy to copy.
I also use DVD Shrink, Nero Express and Any Dvd and also have had no problems.
I simply want to make certain that I am using the best programs.
The Decrypter program was mentioned to me earlier, however I tried the trial of Any Dvd and decided to purchase it.
I guess that was a wise move seeing the sad demise of Decrypters state right now.
I would appreciate comments. I don't do a lot of backups, I just don't want to damage my dvd music concert collection dvd's and would rather use my backup as I have a good library that I want to keep the originals in good shape.

hi there
all sounds good to me! but i might add backup those prise music dvds to decent media i use ritek but TY i think are better still? but not tried any.
as cheapo media degrades and wont play or usaully skips and jumps after a few moths of rotting...
Nothing here to see, move along folks.

We don't get TY or the other Japanes Brands up here in British Columbia and I have inquired with BenQ and they do not support them only the ones mentioned in my post which i found strange.

hi
umm? they may not support them but they may work its trial and error! welcome to the dvd backup world, its not black and white its a big grey area...
but ritek have stood the test of time, but got to be genuine ritek, can you get those?

No Ritek around here either and when I spoke to BenQ, they have indicated that there is so many imposters out there that is why they stick with Maxell as their foremost recommended product as well as Imation.
Thx for the response, regarding the media.
I am still wondering about Alcohol 120% and its pros and cons compared to the programs that I use??

For concert footage, I am very picky about my backup programs. The reason is that all the bright lights flashing cause the most flaws in the backup process. I have a Led Zeppelin DVD set (2 discs) that came out horrible using DVD X Copy and DVD Shrink. I have never used A120 for DVDs, but I would recommend DVD Rebuilder and Cinema Craft Encoder (CCE) to do this. CCE Basic costs about $60 US though. DVD Rebuilder is free at this point in time. Once I discovered these programs I began using them for all my DVD needs, and still do. The only issues you might have are if they have interleaving, which I am actually dealing with that issue right now.
Another good choice (from what I've read) is Intervideo's DVD Copy 3, which offers a free trial. I've tried it a few times, great video quality, but I ran into some issues with menus and stuff so I dropped it. Most other people don't have a problem with it though.
