NEED ... HELP ... to play Burned PS2/PS1 .. Games .. !!!!

I've download a PS1 game from a torrent site and burned it with "Alcohol 120%" by setting Play Station data type option. But It doesn't work in my PS. Says "Insert PS format Cd-type disc".

I searched about this matter in internet and some stuff ... like (1) Mod Chip (2) Swap Magic. I'm confused which one shall I use.

Will anyone please explain me in detail what these two things mean and how should I know what type of Chip do I need for my PS? And how should I install in in PS?

get a PS2 with a DMS4 Pro chip and your problems are solved.
It will play all your PS1 and PS2 games.

Stiemy,

Do u mean I've to buy the new PS2 machine? I've old PS2. Will it play all burned PS1/PS2 games if I add that chip!!!!!

I agree the slide card is a messy tool. the DMS4 chips work much better and you won;t get frustrated. Here's my personal opinion on the slide card. http://www.freewebs.com/dsheep/new_page_2.htm its in the articles and tutorials section (oh and by the way, please sign up on my message boards, thanx =)

If you want to play any back up games you have to mod your PS2, but any PS2 will play PS2 & PS1 originals.
Swap Magic and a flip top would be the cheapest way to do it. Swap magic comes with 2 discs one for DVD (most PS2 games) and one for CD (like PS1 games) Cyurrent version i think is 3.6 (swap magic)
You can get both for like $30-$40 US

A mod chip is much easier but a bit more expensive.
I do not have time to write out all the differnces i will just say a GOOD mod chip (DMS4 Pro or Matrix Infinity) is much better. No rebuilding ISO's or Patching them to get them to work. No extra swapping to use cheat discs. and no swap discs needed

Thanx 4 ur replying. It isn't so clear yet to me ... do I need both Mod chip + Swap magic to play all Burned PS2/PS1 games .... ? I mean is these two thing is all that I need to play all PC-burned PS2/PS1 games?

No, either you go the modchip route..and have your backup discs load just like the originals

OR

you go the swap disc route..and have to load a disc like 'Swap Magic' every time to get your backup discs to boot. The swap method usually requires another 'mod' like a fliptop lid, slidecard, or slimtool. Depending on what version ps2 you have.

my ps1 backups will not work with swap magic 3.6

and i know the backups run fine on my ps1, just tested it now because i thought you needed breaker pro for ps1 backups
