Japanese data to DVD

I need to back up some data to DVD, but some of the file names are in Japanese. The burning programs that I have used so far see the Japanese text as invalid charecters. Windows will write the data to a CD without any problems, but I have so much that I really need to use DVD.

Any idea what software or trick I might use to get this data to DVD?

There are thousands of them, not to mention that I can't read Japanese.

install the japanese language to your pc, either from the windows disc or get info from microsoft website!

I have the Japanese language installed. Looking in windows explorer the file names are fine, but when I try to add them to a data disc project the Japanese characters are replaced with ???? or the program(s) will give errors about unrecognized characters.
