Alright, I have the ILO DVDR04 ... upgraded with latest firmware

okay.. problem.. almost everytime i record something.. on to dvd+rw and I use dvd decryptor to put the files on my computer.. it says " PACK HEADER NOT FOUND " well, after that, it finishes... so I'll load my .vobs into womble mpeg vcr, and half the video is gone, or it freezes on a frame, and its gone... whuts causing this?!

my media is SONY 1x-4x DVD+RW I even have some free media from supermedia store ive tried, does the same thing.. its also +RW.. any help, Thx!!!

onlyemoki,

This is a new one!! Make sure the settings in DVD Decrypter are all default. Instead of ripping in file mode, try IFO mode to get one single VOB file. Also, since the DVD is not protected, try just copying the VOB files from the disc without DVD Decrypter.

As far as the DVD+RW disc, try using a program on the computer to do a full erase, not just a quick erase.

I got the problem fixed... I picked up some maxell media, and it done fine.. my sony and the other no name brand media didn't work well.. but this did! Thx :)

I use CompUSA's generic DVD's with no problem. A spindle of 100 DVD+R's is only about $45.00 and they have worked flawlessly.

Do you use DVD Shrink software? I never had a problem with that program...

BRGordon........ I use Shrink and Decrypter and REbuild and Remake...... all are great and now that DVDDecrypter is gone I will try out DVDFabDecrypter....... says it will do same as DVDDEcrypter but will keep updates so time moves on......has anyone used it yet...... think I will try it out today and see what's what.

As I'm new to all this any and all help is required!!
I have a stand alone soney RDR-GX3 DVD recorder. I have been transfering from video to dvd. I can do this no problem but to add chapters you have to use dvd-rw in vr mode, I 've done this but the discs even when finalizes do not play on a p.c. dvd rom or stand alone dvd player also there id a split second blip between chapters..so if I copy from video to dvd-r (no problem with this)
so I end up with a movie without chapters, how do I put the chapters in (without any freeze/blips at change of chapter) what software do I need to do the chapters on my p.c.
