how do you copy PS2 games with online capability? i know how to save the img and burn it...but dont you need to patch it to play online? how does that work?

First you need to make the iso of whatever game you want to play online> then you must download image patcher(the latest version)and then patch the iso of the game like this:open image patcher>select image file(select the iso of the game)>click scan file>click verify version(now you can type the disc id in)>clcik patch>use DVD DECRYPER to burn the iso to a dvd+/-r and now enjoy! how do i retrieve a ID...i dont think i want to get the original game ID...b/c i rented the game which millions of others have also...so if i use the orginal disk ID...they will find more than one of the ID's and ban us from the server...where do i get the ID?

Reckless > For me, I have to patch most my online games to even get them to even boot up. And most times if they aren't patched then it causes fatel fault errors and messes up the game play.

So I would say even tho you don't have online capability, It's best to patch it to save you the WASTED DVD.

Trying to burn MX VS ATV Unleashed. I used MagicISO to create the .iso file then patched it. Then I burnt it on a Maxell 8x 4.7G DVD+R. I put im my Swap Magic 3.6 DVD Rom and then use the slide card to put the burnt game in. It goes to the loading screen and sits there. Same thing happens with Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition.

Hey serranoX3 the method you posted how to patch games to play online works right? I followed those directions, and patched killzone. Now I am just waiting for my Swap Magic to come to test it out.
