WHY IS COGSWAP CALLED COGSWAP? LOL

This has been bugging me, anyone know why COGSWAP was called COGSWAP?

I think (and only think, correct me if i'm wrong) it is called cogswap cos there is a method of releasing the disc tray of the PS2 by moving a cog with a screwdriver, thus hermes may have called his program cogswap because you release the tray by moving a COG and SWAP the discs but as I said I could be wrong...

Yes it always bugs me why certain programs have these names lol. Only other thing i could think of was Change Over Game? C.O.G
