By the way guys i have Xbox 1.6 version -

Guys this is my first time ever solder a chip in game system - i think i did pretty good - the Xecuter chip loos like it's installed correctly the blue light and the green or red for the bios protection both come on with no problem - even the hard drive and lan and i'm not sure if this the way i should see things or not but when i boot up i get a screen that shows FlaashBios 3.0.1

HDD ......
DVD .....

and then i see 5 options
enable netwrok flashing
load bios from HDD
load Bios from disc
Unlock HDD
Lock HDD
Can someone tell me please what do i need to do here - do i need to burn EvoX on a CD - i tried that already didn't work .
Do i need to flash the bios again ??

please i need help i can no longer play regularo game because if this sceen and i think i'm screwed - or did i just do the ionstalltion wrong .

easiest way is to connect the xbox to your router and upgrade your bios via http method. it's normal to see the FlashBios 3.0.1, but you need to reflash that bios in order to use dashboards, etc.

Modster Thanks for your reply - but when you say connect my http what do you mean - this is my first time doing this and i'm just trying to get this to work .

which option do i choose ???
I have my cat4 RJ45 cable connected to my router now is that all i have to do ?

no the xbox needs to hooked up to the network to flash via http.

either connect the xbox to a router, or use a crossover cable to connect your xbox directly to the pc...then all you gotta do i select flash via http...go on your pc and type your xbox ip into the address bar of internet explorer...locate the x3 bios on your pc, and flash away.

what you guys don't understand is that i can't select flash via http - the options i see the ones i mentioned on my first post - no flash via http exist - please let me know - thanks

i'm sorry mdsup - my fault - i appreciate your help but this is my first time doing this and i was not familier ok - now i'm able to see the following

Xecuter FlashBIOS v3.0.0
Use the form below to update the BIOS of your modchip via webserver. WARNING! It will use the file you upload to replace the contents of the currently selected 1MB bank (For X2 mods it will simply start flashing from the beginning of bank 1 - your bios needs to ideally be 512k (2 x 256k) - that way if you mess up you can switch to bank 2 and get back to FlashBIOS v3.0.0). Make sure you have read all the documentation before flashing.
The file uploaded was not 262144, 524288 or 1048576 bytes. Refusing to flash.
Select BIOS File:
Xecuter 3 Bios Bank Switches

1MB Bios Banks
Bank 1234: on on off off
Bank 5678: off on off off
When switch is disconnected the X3 defaults to 1MB Bios (Banks 1234)

does the bank settings look right or do i need to modify something ???
Also where can i get the Flashbios from

are you using the x3 bios? it is not the bios at xecuter's site, you must obtain the x3 bios at the "usual places".

could you please show me where can i get the bios chip from - i almost downloaded the wrong one from X3 website - or someone could send it to me in an email - i would really appreciate it
