Got mine from www.lik-sang.com. Headphone socket is a regular 3,5mm so normal headphones work fine. If you want to run homebrew apps like emulators, then you should get one with firmware v1.0. You could find one from ebay, but normal stores don't have the option. This v1.0 would be japanese version of the console, but you can choose english for menus. Since japan has the same region code as uk, you can watch umd movies that are bought from uk. Just make sure you buy a screen protector too. Check for psp threads for useful information.

That's sum very useful info there. I presume u livin in the uk, did u have any customs to pay? Also, on ur lik-sang website, they say this:
Quote:
Please note that Sony has already released a new firmware update (version 1.50) for the PSP for all users with the first version PSP system. All of the PSP units in stock at Lik Sang are with the latest version directly from the Factory.
Any way to downgrade the firmware version? - Ok i found out that its not possible to downgrade.. YET

No, I'm from Finland. We also have the same region code ^_^ You'll have to pay normal VAT. Here it's about 25% of the total sum. You can always ask them to mark smaller price to description when they send it, like half of the real price. I'f you're ordering from lik-sang then you should order psp in one package, so you don't have to pay too much tax. Games have free shipping and they come tax free because they're not expensive enough to be taxed (at least in Finland). Oh yeah, if you're not sure that the supplied charger fits uk electric sockets you should also get a usb charger. We have this socket in Finland ( o o ), and the charger is like this -> ( | | ). Quite confusing way to explain it but I guess you understand :D They supplied an adapter without extra charge.

Alright, i looked into this further.. so i decided to get my psp from ebay. Just waiting for a reply from one of the sellers and will purchaze one ^-^ Tell me however.. with your psp.. do u have a 1 year guarantee from sony / lik-sang? I'm just wonderin who i'd have to return the psp back to if it screwed up.. not sure if sony would be happy fixing it seeing as though i "imported" it.. any ideas?

do not buy from jap/usa. make sure it is already in the uk otherwise u gonna get a nasty tax bill.

i got mine from ebay for £210 with 1 game shipped straight from the uk.

jap price was about £180 for the same inc delivery but they dont mention the taxes to you untill its too late.

u are looking at £50 or more easily on tax.

17.5 vat plus customs tax which i cant remember what that costs.

and dont expect any warranty from ebay, you will be lucky to get 1 month warranty, thats why ebay = cheaper.

@pro 'noob - yeah i agree. That's only reason i didn't order from lik-sang. The ebay seller just got back to me, he's in uk alright, no tax, no custom.. that's wat i'm talkin abt! Value pack for £180 inc delivery, 30 day warranty, i'm cool with that!

Update: Well well, i've just purchased my psp! But without a game for now. U guys think that wipeout is a good choice.. i heard something about a browser crack as well, surf the web using wipeout. This true? any info appreciated! ^-^

I have a usb cable. It's the same as my digital camera uses so I didn't even have to buy one. Because of usb 2.0 it's very fast to transfer videos and mp3's to psp. I haven't tested any wifi functions yet... And a screen protector is a must!

Is there a particular screen protector u recommend? There's so many in ebay, i heard some make the psp screen look blurry. Which do u use?

I don't recommend using that 1.5 swaploit. It can ruin your ms and ms slot.

Untold legends, Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Ridge Racer (jpn) and Dynasty Warriors (jpn). At first rr was ok, but now I hardly play it. Same with Dynasty Warriors, I don't understand a thing of it :D But untold legends and thug 2 are fun to play, and wipeout is excellent too ^_^
