magikman,
When I use DVDDecrypter to burn the .iso file Shrink creates all I do if I want to play it on the computer is right click the file and tell it what program to play it in. If I hit Play it opens in Windows Media Player and plays fine there

Thanks Mike,
I tried that one... But it just hangs there doing nothing. Im trying to right click on the <backupversion>.iso and nothing... I created the .iso using DVD Shrink, which uses DVDDecryptor. Now if i were burning to DVD, i would select the iso file to burn, but i want to play the iso version.

magikman,
The .iso image file that Shrink creates when I do one is saved in a desktop folder I named Ripped Movies. I then if I want to view it is just right click the file and the movie plays. I would re-try to do the .iso and see if that helps. Something sounds screwy

Rotary,
Thanks Rotary for the info. I knew it worked in Media Player but I would have bet $ it worked in PowerDVD. Every program must be fickle.

I'd suggest what Rotary said, getting Daemon Tools (awesome proggy BTW) or A120 which also allows you to create virtual drives. Just create a drive and mount the ISO and your computer thinks you have the DVD in a drive.

I do have power DVD, and thats the prog i have been using, how much ram does this other "console" consume? Im worried my 1.9gh(ithink) 512mb may not be enough...or is it?I do have Media Player as well, and it doesnt work either. And suggestions...???for my console, hopefully i can burn a free version to bring home and test it out.
thanks,
Johnny

your setup is good enough, why not try the virtual drive that we mentioned. Guaranteed to work and it's a lot simpler than you may think.

Anything past PowerDVD 4 will play ISOs. I've used both PowerDVD 5 & 6 to open ISOs.

Also, If you have Shrink, you can use that. click file, open disc image, click play in the lower left corner :)
