Alright, I am still thinking about buying swap magic but have a few questions. I use Sony dvd+r's. I am able to back up DVD movies using DVD Decrypter and write at 2.4x (lowest supported speed for the blank media) and they play flawlessly in my slimline pstwo. Now I was wondering if I do the same with my games and use the same media, and procedure would they work in my ps2? Im asking this because I understand some media doesn't work well.

So basically if my backups of my DVD's work on this type of media, will my game backups work also?

1 last thing.. I was reading about if you play backups on your ps2 it could wear out the laser more easily since ps2 games are pressed not burned. Anything I can do to reduce the stress on the laser?

Lowest speed possible is 2.4x for the media. If I hit 1x on DVD Decrypter is just defaults it to the lowest which is 2.4x.

Maybe I wasnt making myself too clear. This is just about if the media I have and would it work for backing up games.

-I used the media to back up DVD MOVIES and play them on my unmodded slimline pstwo and they play back just fine.

-I want to know if I back up DVD GAMES with the same media would it work on my slimline pstwo with swapmagic.

Want to know this to see if I also have to purchase new media.

you should have no problems with your sony media, just make sure you buy a real copy of swap magic (don't download it or it won't work). I would also recommend using verbatim or tdk (as you can see in my sig.) also fuji are quality dvds.
